With the increased popularity of the suede desert boot recently, I see gentlemen sporting suede footwear everywhere I turn. When I purchased a pair last season, I was told by a friend never to wear them in the rain. Well, one day I decided to wear them on a seemingly sunny day, and then, out of nowhere, it began to drizzle later in the afternoon. Afterward, I tried to treat them with a rag but there is still some discoloration. I have yet to treat them properly, and was pleased to finally find an explanation online yesterday.
